Let's finish the work in Myanmar!
Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
- Matthew 28:16-20

Our purpose at ELIM INSTITUTE is to train and equip disciple maker for God's work among the nations and the most unreached communities in Myanmar. In Elim Institute we focus on cross-cultural mission work, practical evangelism, and new church planting strategy, and multiplication of disciple makers. Elim Institute is not only a school, it is a movement! While the students are doing research and study, they are sent to reach the community to preach, teach and multiply disciples.
Student study about the culture, tradition, different religious view of the unreached people of Myanmar and the '10/40 Window' of the world. We train how to reach the Buddhist people by the Gospel more effectively and powerfully. This missionary training takes 18 months in 3 years with our recommended subjects on missions. |

Sent Missionary
Every year the Lord enables us to send out trained native missionaries who are blessed with the Holy Spirit. Our missionaries have a consuming passion to preach the Gospel to their countrymen in the hopes to break the chains that enslave them; set them free from bondage of sin and spiritual darkness. For many missionaries, it’s more than a job. It is a glorious addiction to bring sight to the blind, hope to the hopeless, and freedom to the oppressed. Our own mission experience has demonstrated that it is wiser to support native missionaries who work within their own culture than to send foreign missionaries who must labor in unfamiliar surroundings. A native missionary is highly effective because he/she knows the customs, culture, and language of the people. |
